Parent & Families Fund Grant Process

New Student & Family Programs launched the 2019 Parent & Families Fund Grant Program in December 2018 through our partnership with the UT Foundation and their VOLstarter platform.

Due to the lack of projects needing funding in the time period that we are able to provide funding for (the 2019-2020 academic year), the deadline is being extended for the Parent & Families Fund Grant process this year and creating an abbreviated version for Division of Student Life units to help fund the amazing work that you are doing for our students.  

Have a big idea, new initiative, or need additional resources for a new component of an existing program? This is a great way to score some additional funding! Last year, the PFF Grant Program contributed approximately $12,000 to support programs and initiatives benefiting UT students. As mentioned above, funding is for projects taking place in the 2019-2020 academic year.

Examples of projects awarded last year are:

  • Alternative Break Scholarships
  • Student Organization Leadership Retreat
  • Take Back the Night
  • Vol Night Long
  • VOLS to VOLS Lunch & Learn Program

The deadline to submit an application is Sunday, April 28 at 11:59 pm. All submissions will be evaluated by the UT Parents Council in early summer and grant recipients will be notified prior to the start of the fall 2019 semester. Preference will be given to programs and initiatives that impact the student body at-large.
