By the Numbers: RA Programs

Every school year, our resident assistants put on community building programs within the residence halls to collaborate and bond with the residents of the hall. RA’s are required to set up two programs every month, but many of them collaborate to put on building wide programs. Some of the different programs that were put on this year by residence assistants were ice cream socials, cookouts, and video games programs. These programs are used as community builders to create a sense of community amongst specific floors or the entire residence hall community.

Hall Director in Stokely Hall, Hannah Johnson, spoke about the goals of these programs as “a fun way to get to know other residents by feeling connected and encouraged by their community by creating a neighborhood feel.”

Kiera PrzygodaKiera Przygoda is a senior at the University of Tennessee majoring in Communication Studies. She is the undergraduate public relations intern for the Office of Communication and Marketing. She has a passion for writing and media and a love for Disney. Kiera is also a Student Assistant at SEC Network and VFL Films.

 

Noah RedmondNoah Redmond is a senior majoring in marketing with a collateral in entrepreneurship. He has worked for the university in multiple capacities for three years. He loves sports and is always trying to learn new things.
