It’s Spring Family Reunion time and we’re so excited for students to see their families! The weekend is packed with fun-filled activities and is hosted by the Office of Family Programs.
Family weekend is a time where families can see our campus spirit, cheer on the Volunteers, and witness their student’s love for Rocky Top. It’s important for parents to be engaged in their students’ experiences and support them on their college journey. Families are critical partners of the university and Spring Family Reunion strengthens that relationship, helping parents feel a part of the Volunteer experience as well. The university is grateful to be able to bring families to campus to enjoy and experience what their students experience.
Check-in starts Saturday morning at 9 a.m. where families finally get to see their wonderful students, receive a t-shirt, UT swag, and a memorable family picture. Brunch will be provided at the Fresh Food Company on campus, where families can catch up, mix and mingle with other families, talk to leadership, and play a trivia game to win four passes to 2020 Fall Family Weekend. After an exciting brunch, families, and students will head to the men’s basketball game in Thompson Boling Arena to watch the Volunteers defeat Auburn. After the game, families have the rest of the weekend to explore beautiful Rocky Top.
We can’t wait to see our families and students reunited this weekend. It’ll be a memorable time to experience a spirited basketball game, enjoy the beauties of campus, and explore the Scruffy City of Knoxville!
