Get Involved This Spring

A new semester is right around the corner and you might be starting to think about how you can make new friends and get involved on campus, even if you’re away from campus. Lucky for you, we’ve made a list of just a few ways to look for student organizations, events, and different ways to get engaged with UT.

Attend In-Person and Virtual Events

Maybe you’re looking for a new student organization to join (or start your own!). You may want to check out VOLink. VOLink is the hub for all student organizations (over 400) here at UT. And plenty of student organizations are still welcoming new members and hosting activities, even from a distance!

Be sure to check out both calendar.utk.edu and the Vol Life app to know what’s happening on campus, both virtually and in-person! Want something to do in the meantime? Be sure to check out two Adulting 101 series videos!

RecSports offers intermural sports to try out and maybe make some new friends. You may also be able to find a new gym buddy when you visit TRECS for a workout! The Center for Health Education and Wellness is here to help you learn about wellness through its eight dimensions of wellness, including social, emotional, and spiritual wellness.

You can also count on weekly wellness activities with our Wellness Wednesdays! From wellness workshops, to stand up paddleboard yoga, to understanding healthy relationships, there will be plenty of events to choose from to help your physical and mental wellness.
