Three Steps Forward, Zero Steps Back: Academic Success While Quarantined

The recent year has brought a new way of learning. This is a challenge, but it can also be an opportunity. Here are some tips that can help you be an effective, academically-resilient student to maximize your time in quarantine or isolation.

Develop a positive attitude

Take five minutes today to reflect on what is right in your life. Expressing gratitude helps us find our calm and focus, two things essential for good study sessions! If you find yourself sitting down to study only to lose yourself in stressful thoughts 5 minutes later, take some deep breaths. Taking time to clear your mind will lead to more productive study time and habits.

“Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.”—Stephen Covey
