Halloween the Vol Way

It’s Halloween on Rocky Top! The end of October marks one of the best seasons on campus for fun activities and events. So, grab your orange, a costume or two, a couple of friends, and don’t miss out on these Halloween-themed festivities happening throughout the week.

Campus Events

Haunted Campus

7 to 10 p.m.
Friday, October 22
Student Union Plaza

The Center for Student Engagement and the Campus Events Board are hosting Haunted Campus, offering live music, food trucks, tarot card reader, and virtual reality haunted house. There will be a costume contest and many more spooky activities. RSVP through VolLink.

Big Orange Pumpkin Patch

11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Student Union Plaza

The second annual Big Orange Pumpkin Patch offers pumpkin bread, candied apples, and a free pumpkin to decorate. Hosted by the Center for Student Engagement, the entire campus community is invited.

Milkshake Monday–VOLoween

Noon to 1 p.m.

Student Union outside Steak n Shake

Grab a milkshake and have a spooky chat with the Office of the Dean of Students as a part of VOLoween.

Haunted History Tour

6 to 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday and Wednesday, October 26–27
Hodges Library second floor entrance

Join UT Libraries for a walking tour of campus’s most haunted spots. This event has limited capacity so reserve your spot in advance!

Rocky Horror Picture Show

9 p.m.
Friday, October 29
Health and Physical Education Building (HPER)

The Center for Student Engagement will host a free screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show with a live shadow cast. There will also be interactive props for the audience. This event is open to students, faculty, and staff.

Pride Center Halloween Party

4 to 6 p.m.
Friday, October 29
Pride Center, Student Union Room 373

The Pride Center is hosting a Halloween party with snacks, games, and more. There will also be a costume contest.

International House Halloween Party

6 to 9 p.m.

International House

The I-House is hosting a Halloween celebration. Costumes are encouraged.
