Homecoming 2025 is right around the corner! During the week of November 9-15, a variety of activities and celebrations will be taking place, bringing together students and alumni alike to celebrate what it means to be a Volunteer. From Tower of Cans, to Rocky Top Dog, to the annual Homecoming Parade, all students can look forward to a week of excitement, competition, and Big Orange pride!
The Homecoming Kickoff will take place November 10 at the Humanities Plaza. Vols are welcome to partake in the tradition of dyeing the Europa and the Bull fountain orange while enjoying complimentary food and activities. Students can also grab their free 2025 Homecoming T-shirt at the kickoff event.
Also on November 10 is one of the largest events of the week, Chalk Pedestrian Walkway. Student organizations, resident hall committees, and campus departments will decorate their portion of Ped Walkway with a work of art made entirely from chalk, honoring this year’s theme, Torchbearers and Trailblazers.

On Friday afternoon, the entire Volunteer community will gather for the annual parade, taking place on Volunteer Boulevard from Fraternity Park to Peyton Manning Pass, with judging at Circle Park. Highlights of the parade are the Pride of the Southland Marching Band, extravagant floats hand-built by student organizations and other departments, and several other groups marching together to celebrate the history and continued success of UT.
The event-filled week will close with the Vols taking on the New Mexico State Aggies in Neyland Stadium, with Homecoming winners being announced during halftime of the game. Whether you are supporting your student organization as they strive to win the 2025 Homecoming title, appreciating the artistic displays throughout campus from the Banner Drop, to lawn displays, to the painted Student Union, or are looking forward to a full week of singing Rocky Top, Homecoming brings together Volunteers of all ages to honor the traditions of UT and continue the momentum of being a university on the rise.
