Chapter presidents will be able to spend time with their respective councils and <a href=\"https:\/\/studentlife.utk.edu\/gogreek\/chapter-coaching\/\">OSFL Chapter Coach<\/a>!<\/p>\n<h3>Who Has To Be There?<\/h3>\n<p>All sorority and fraternity chapter presidents and IFC, MGC, NPHC, and Panhellenic council presidents. Here are answers to common questions around attendance:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alternates can replace chapter\/council presidents if they are approved by council advisor and are currently members of the executive board.<\/li>\n<li>Every chapter is required to have one approved delegate from the chapter. The chapter will lose SOFE points for not being in attendance.<\/li>\n<li>If a representative confirms their attendance and then does not attend the Greek Leadership Summit, there will be a financial obligation the council\/chapter will be responsible for.<\/li>\n<li>All attendance questions need to be addressed with <a href=\"mailto:lcharter@utk.edu\">Lindsay Charters<\/a>, assistant director for Greek leadership &amp; training, and the respective council advisor as soon as a question or issue arises.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"orange-mark\">Preparing for GLS<\/h2>\n<h3>Packing List<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Casual attire \u2013 bring layers!\n<ul>\n<li>Don\u2019t forget to bring some letters to wear for day 2<\/li>\n<li>Work out gear if desired for morning of day 2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Toiletries &amp; towel<\/li>\n<li>Bedding \u2013 you\u2019ll need to bring sheets, blanket(s), pillow, sleeping bag, etc. that you\u2019ll need for sleeping. A bed will be provided!<\/li>\n<li>Chargers for any electronics<\/li>\n<li>Laptop or device to take notes<\/li>\n<li>Medications that you\u2019ll need<\/li>\n<li>Water bottle \u2013 stay hydrated!<\/li>\n<li>Server allergies &#8211; you are allowed to bring prepared food.<\/li>\n<li>Money for a pitstop at Buc-ee\u2019s \u2013 <em>not required, but you may want some beaver nuggets.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Things To Be Aware Of<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>It can be cold!<\/strong> Please bring layers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Day one is casual<\/strong>; day two is all about representing your chapter so bring letters to wear.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Parking<\/strong> &#8211; we will be departing from campus on Friday from the UTK Creamery parking lot (across from Sorority Village). Park in that lot, carpool there, or take &#8216;The T.&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>This is an <strong>alcohol\/substance-free<\/strong> event.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Communication<\/strong> is key! Please ask questions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Clifton Strengths:<\/strong> If you received an email from Lindsay Charters about your CliftonStrengths, be sure to complete that assessment. If you did not receive that email, you\u2019ve already completed that task or you recently registered and Lindsay will be in touch.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Transportation<\/strong> is provided via a coach bus. Self-transportation can be approved for schedule conflicts and emergencies, and drivers will need to sign liability waivers. This is limited to due to parking. If you do drive, OSFL staff will provide gate-code for access. Car access is limited to driving to and from the conference only (explorations of Crossville, TN will not be approved).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Open-mindedness:<\/strong> Come ready to learn more about the community, how you play a part in it, and why we say \u201c49 chapters, 4 councils, 1 community.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>Positive Attitude:<\/strong> New year, new semester, fresh start! Start off the year with optimism as we look forward to 2026.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Curiosity:<\/strong> This opportunity will allow you to ask questions about much more than just your chapter. Come ready to ask questions about things you may know, but also be ready to ask questions about things you learn while at the retreat.
