Intercollegiate Athletics

The Athletics Department sponsors 20 varsity sport programs featuring more than 500 student-athletes. Tennessee Athletics competes against other Southeastern Conference schools in football, basketball, baseball, cross country, golf, indoor and outdoor track, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, and volleyball, and in the Big 12 Conference in rowing. Student tickets for football can be purchased at BigOrangeTix as well students can claim a FREE ticket to men’s and women’s basketball via BigOrangeTix. Students can attend baseball, cross country, golf, indoor and outdoor track, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, volleyball and rowing for FREE by simply showing their UT ID at the entrance gates. Students can enroll into UT Student Rewards for credit toward special rewards and items for attending designated sporting events. The program is simple: sign-up for free to become a member by downloading the Tennessee Athletics app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store; scan your app at designated athletic events to check-in and manage T-Creds and awards.


RecSports

Coordinates recreational and competitive activities ranging from intramural and club competition to group fitness classes and outdoor adventure trips. RecSports operates the Tennessee Recreational Center for Students (TRECS), the Student Aquatic Center (SAC), and the RecSports Fields at Sutherland.
