The call center attendant performs a variety of technical and clerical duties related to the administrative operations of the residence halls. The University Housing Call Center serves as the epicenter for University Housing’s closed-circuit television (CCTV) monitoring, fire alarm monitoring, and the single point of contact for housing-related issues.
The call center is supervised by the Program Leader for Safety and Security. A call center attendant must be an enrolled student who has completed at least one academic year of school at UT. Preferably, the attendant has previous University Housing work experience as a summer conference assistant, desk assistant, or post office assistant and understands some of the inner workings of the residence halls to most effectively answer student concerns and questions. This position will include day, night, and weekend hours with a cap of 29 hours per week.
