Tying together in-class experiences on campus with hands-on classroom experiences in schools, prospective educators develop an understanding of content pedagogy and its application. It empowers the active, passionate pursuit of learning and building a better world through teaching, research, and service.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Future Teachers LLC will be located in <a href=\"https:\/\/studentlife.utk.edu\/housing\/housing-options\/hall-styles\/magnolia-hall\/\">Magnolia Hall<\/a> for 2026-2027. All LLC locations are subject to change.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>The following majors are eligible for the LLC<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Education: Interdisciplinary Early Childhood, PreK-3<\/li>\n<li>Deaf Studies: Deaf Hard of Hearing<\/li>\n<li>Deaf Studies: American Sign Language<\/li>\n<li>Elementary Education K-5<\/li>\n<li>Special Education: Interventionist and Comprehensive<\/li>\n<li>Social Science Education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Community Requirements<\/h2>\n<p>Eligible students must be admitted to the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. All Future Teachers LLC students are required to enroll in the Education 100s course their first semester. In addition, you will participate in community activities and experiential learning experiences throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>LLC participants will have the opportunity to take courses together and engage in professional, personal, and leadership development opportunities to supplement their in-class experiences.<\/p>\n<p>Each participant will be required to enroll in a First Year Studies 101 course (specific to their LLC) during the fall term.
