We hope you are as excited as we are for move-in! It\u2019s an exciting time and it will be here before we know it. To ensure you are prepared for move-in<\/a>, read and complete all the items below. We can\u2019t wait to welcome you to your new home!<\/span><\/p>\n

Submit Your Immunization Information<\/h2>\n

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and\/or the State of Tennessee mandates that new students meet and submit proof of certain immunization requirements. Requirements include the MMR vaccine, varicella (chicken pox) vaccine, and tuberculosis screening. Students living on campus are also required to submit Meningitis ACWY immunization forms.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are living on campus, you will not be permitted to move in until these requirements have been met.<\/b><\/p>\n

You can access immunization instructions and forms at <\/span>tiny.utk.edu\/immunization<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students can submit their immunization records or the immunization exemption form online using the <\/span>Student Health patient portal<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Emails will be sent to your UT email letting you know your progress on fulfilling these requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n

Upload Your VolCard Photo and Activate Your VolCard<\/h2>\n

Before arriving on Rocky Top, you\u2019ll need to download your VolCard, your university ID, onto your mobile device. This is a two-step process, not completing both steps will slow down your check-in process.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Upload <\/span>a personal picture to your <\/span><\/a>WebCard Center. Log-in using your NetID and password. Photo uploads can take up to 24 hours to be approved. You\u2019ll receive a confirmation email from the VolCard Office to your UT email account.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Once your photo has been approved, download your VolCard to your mobile device.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Visit <\/span>volcard.utk.edu<\/span><\/a> for step-by-step instructions. You must activate your VolCard <\/span>before<\/span><\/i> you arrive at your hall to move in.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Plan for Transportation and Parking<\/h2>\n

    Learn more about campus transportation options and student parking permits by review the Parking and Transportation information page<\/a>.<\/span> The university offers complimentary transportation around campus via the “T” transit system<\/a><\/span>. All students are able to ride the Knoxville Area Transit (KAT)<\/a><\/span> buses for free. Just show your UT ID as you board.<\/p>\n

    Incoming first-year students interested in parking at UT may participate in a randomized selection process for a limited number of Non-commuter Remote and Non-commuter Park and Ride parking spaces. Upperclassmen living in the residence halls will have the opportunity to purchase a Non-Commuter Core or Non-Commuter Remote parking permit in mid-summer. Purchasing permits is based on academic classification.<\/p>\n

    Confirm Your Meal Plan<\/h2>\n

    First-year students have the option to select from two meal plans with the same cost. Visit dining.utk.edu<\/a> to be sure you have the meal plan that works best for your schedule this fall.<\/p>\n
