Move-in day<\/a> is exciting! You get to set up your room, meet your RA and your roommate, and explore your new home away from home. Here are our top recommendations to make this day a success for you and your family.<\/p>\n

Arriving on Campus<\/b><\/h2>\n

Arrive at your residence hall during your scheduled move-in appointment date and time that you selected in the University Housing Portal<\/a><\/span>. Move-in appointments are set to help prevent long traffic jams and elevator waits.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Please do not arrive on campus to look around or attempt to check in before your designated move-in appointment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Move-in traffic maps are available for each residence hall. From the buttons below, you have the option to download the VolPark app. Due to changes in traffic flow around campus during move-in, please use driving directions available via the <\/strong><\/span>VolPark <\/a>app <\/a><\/strong>on your move-in day and\/or follow the large directional signage when you arrive on campus. Note: Waze, Apple Maps, and Google Maps may provide incorrect directions. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

From August 9\u201314, when you arrive on campus, please follow the signs to the designated unloading zone for your assigned residence hall. There will be uniformed UTPD officers, professional movers, contracted security, university staff, and volunteers to direct and support you in this experience. Specific staffing may vary by building.<\/div>\n
If you’re moving in on August 15\u201316 between 9:00 a.m.\u20133:00 p.m., you do not need to schedule a move-in appointment. Traffic control and unloading assistance will not be available on these days. Your residence hall will still be open and ready to welcome you to Rocky Top!<\/div>\n

Know your residence hall. You will be directed based on whether you live in Beacon East<\/strong> or Beacon West<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Check-in Location:<\/strong> Check-in will be located in the courtyard between Beacon East and Beacon West.<\/p>\n

Unloading Zone:<\/strong> Unloading will occur in the designated zone on Caledonia Ave., in front of Beacon Hall. Please stay in the designated line for Beacon and do not attempt to unload from another space on campus. Assistance is provided during most move-in days and appointment times.<\/p>\n

Parking:<\/strong> Parking after unloading is located at Terrace Avenue and Lake Avenue Garage.<\/p>\n

Getting to Beacon Hall to Move-In<\/h4>\n

Follow the VolPark app<\/a> instructions. If not using the VolPark app, follow move-in signage on campus and expect to turn onto Caledonia Ave from Volunteer Blvd.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Traffic Note:<\/strong> 20th Street (southbound lane) will be closed during move-in hours. You will not be able to access Beacon Hall from Andy Holt Ave.\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Unloading Zone:<\/strong> Unloading will occur behind Dogwood Hall. Please do not attempt to park and unload outside of this area. Assistance is provided during most move-in days and appointment times.<\/p>\n

Parking:<\/strong> Parking after unloading is located at the West Campus Garage.<\/p>\n

Getting to Magnolia Hall and Dogwood Hall to Move-In<\/h4>\n

Follow the VolPark app<\/a> instructions. If not using the VolPark app, navigate to the Volunteer Blvd G16 garage adjacent to Stokely Hall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Please stay in the designated line for Torchbearer and do not attempt to unload from another space on campus. Assistance is provided during most move-in days and appointment times.<\/p>\n

Parking:<\/strong> August 9, move-in parking will be in Staff Lot 9, off of Peyton Manning Pass and Phillip Fulmer Way. August 10-14 move-in parking will be in Garage G10 off of Phillip Fulmer Way and street parking on Phillip Fulmer Way.<\/p>\n

Getting to Torchbearer to Move-In<\/h4>\n

Sunday, August 9:<\/strong> Follow the VolPark app<\/a> instructions. If not using the VolPark app, follow move-in signage on campus and expect to turn onto Volunteer Blvd from Joe Johnson Dr<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Traffic Note:<\/strong> Due an event happening at Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center on August 9 at 1pm and 7pm, you will not be able to access Volunteer Blvd via Lake Loudoun Blvd.<\/p>\n

Monday, August 10 \u2013 Friday, August 14:<\/strong> Follow the VolPark app<\/a> instructions. If not using the VolPark app, follow move-in signage on campus and expect to turn onto Volunteer Blvd from Lake Loudoun Blvd.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
