Allergy & Immunization Clinic
The Allergy and Immunization Clinic provides vaccination services for disease prevention and allergy immunotherapy.
Allergy Immunotherapy
Although allergy testing to initiate allergy immunotherapy is not provided in the Allergy and Immunization Clinic, nursing staff can administer existing physician-directed allergy immunotherapy and educate patients regarding their condition, providing you with the support and guidance you need.
Before receiving allergy immunotherapy in the clinic, the prescribing health care provider must initiate the student’s immunotherapy orders and provide the initial injection of serum. The provider’s office must coordinate ongoing care with the Allergy and Immunization Clinic staff.
To initiate this process, contact your allergist, or other immunotherapy-prescribing healthcare provider before arranging an appointment at the Allergy and Immunization Clinic or contact the clinic directly to speak with a nurse for additional information.
Students receiving allergy immunotherapy must agree to specific terms and conditions to continue receiving immunotherapy through the Student Health Center. You may review and complete the terms and conditions online in the Student Health Center Patient Portal or at your first office visit.
Preventative Vaccines
The Allergy and Immunization Clinic also provides vaccination services for disease prevention. If you are in need of certain vaccines required for attendance, participation, or travel, contact the Allergy and Immunization Clinic to determine what vaccines are currently available. If a needed vaccine is not available at the Student Health Center, you will be assisted with information regarding how and where to best access it.
