Welcome to the Student Union, your campus living room and the heart of student life at the University of Tennessee. Home to several dining options, study spaces, and events, the Student Union is a regular meeting place for students to gather and connect.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Home Away From Home<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Student Union provides students with a home away from home, a place where they can find their community on Rocky Top. It includes iconic campus features, like a 997-seat auditorium and a glass Torch sculpture with 319 individually fire-blown pieces. It is also the hub of campus activity, buzzing each day with the energy of the small city that is the University of Tennessee.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Student Union hosts nearly 10,000 events annually and welcomes over 2.5 million visitors.  What makes the Student Union special is that many important responsibilities, such as opening and closing the facility or producing events, are fulfilled by University of Tennessee students. Through their employment at the Student Union, UT students not only earn a paycheck, they also learn and develop valuable career skills, such as verbal reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, and effective communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Student Union mission and vision focus on investing in University of Tennessee students, preparing them to be leaders and producing workforce-ready graduates.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
