Are there areas in student affairs you would like to learn about? Unsure of what opportunities exist within student affairs? Looking to build connections with professionals outside of your summer experience? Spend some time getting to meet the Division of Student Life staff members representing their respective units. Participants will have the opportunity to rotate and speak to multiple individuals during the session in a smaller more intimate setting.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Recognize and differentiate offices and their roles within the Division of Student Life at UTK
  • Identify professional opportunities that exist within student affairs in varying office

Are you considering pursuing graduate study in higher education (either a master’s degree or Ph.D.)? Come speak with others who are currently in graduate school.

  • Name and explain some common factors to consider when contemplating attending graduate school
  • Identify two to three factors impacting your thoughts related to pursuing graduate school

When someone sees you or hears your name, what is their first impression? How do your actions back that up and demonstrate work ethic and professionalism? Join us for this session on shaping and managing your personal brand in-person and online.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify behaviors that align with the brand you want to portray
  • Develop strategies to demonstrate these actions in the workplace
