Social wellness refers to the ability to cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships along with having an interest and concern for the needs of others.

Developing Your Social Wellness

  1. Join an interest or activity-based group, attend community events, and make time in your routine for social connection.  
  2. Get to know classmates and professors.  
  3. Create spaces to have open communication where you can be vulnerable, nonjudgmental, and kind.  
  4. Remember to be fully present at the moment when spending time with loved ones.

Social Wellness In and Out of the Classroom

  • Attend floor dinners 
  • Attend a free community event
  • Organize or join game nights, movie nights, or campus social activities
