The Daily Beacon
The Daily Beacon is UT’s editorially independent student newspaper. It is published weekly (Wednesdays) when classes are in session and is distributed free of charge on newsstands across campus. Commentary, news and features about campus life, sports, art, and culture are offered to readers in print and online formats, including Facebook and Twitter postings. Sales, design, and editorial positions are filled by students, and applications are accepted throughout the year. Participation on the staff is open to any interested UT student. Lumos Media Services
Lumos Media Services is a student operated video production house and creative communications office. Started in 2017 Lumos students meet with clients both internal and external to the university and help them with their communications needs. Video services is Lumos’s core business. Student positions include Video editors, videographers, colorists, transcribers, producers, writers, and more. The Volunteer Channel
The Volunteer Channel (TVC) is a student-run television station at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, that allows students to get hands-on experience in many aspects of the Television and Film industry.
For over 20 years, TVC has been one of the rising student media sources on campus. For over 20 years, students have created content in many genres including news, comedy, artistic performances, entertainment, live event production, and more!

WUTK-FM
WUTK-FM “Nintey Point Three The Rock” is an award-winning, independent noncommercial college radio station owned by UT and operated by the UT College of Communications and Information, offering practical experience opportunities in broadcasting, podcasting, promotions, music industry careers, and event planning and production. Most music, news, and sports shows, podcasts are student produced, other than shows produced by non-student volunteers, most of whom are WUTK alumni.
WUTK plays a mix of modern rock, local musicians, hip hop, world music, and more, as well as genre-specific shows each evening, and a few nationally syndicated shows. WUTK is licensed to broadcast on 90.3MHz at 2500watts, and streams worldwide at www.wutkradio.com.
