Vol Dining

Central Ticket Office

Distributes tickets to cultural attractions, events, concerts, and community events. Located at the Student Union Information Desk. Note: Big Orange Tix is the provider of Tennessee Athletic games and tickets for students.

Facilities Services

Facilities Services takes pride in maintaining and operating more than 250 buildings across the Knoxville and Institute of Agriculture campuses of UT in support of learning, research, collaboration and innovation. This department is responsible for building maintenance and operations, landscaping, turf management, arboriculture, campus design and construction, space management, campus utilities, custodial services, and a number of administrative and support services. Financial Aid & Scholarships—One Stop

Provides a centralized source for assistance with financial aid and scholarships. 

Hearing & Speech Center

Provides complete evaluation and treatment services for speech, language, and hearing problems while providing clinical education to graduate and undergraduate students. 

University Housing

Provides a home sweet home for more than 9,000 students. Our mission is to foster positive, student-centered residential communities supporting the academic mission of UT. We provide a defining experience for students through programs and amenities that facilitate individual learning and development. University Housing’s value and services enhance the overall Volunteer student experience. 

One Stop Student Services

Supports you through centralized help with undergraduate enrollment, academic records & registration, financial aid & scholarships, and billing & payment. They share information, provide resources, help answer questions, and provide next steps on all things concerning enrollment. They are located on the ground floor of Hodges Library, and you can submit questions to them through the VolConnect portal. 

Parking & Transportation

Manages parking for UT including garages, surface lots, permits (required), bike registration, special event parking, citation, citation appeals, and associated penalties. Also manages Free T Bus Transit system including accessible and late-night service. 

Passport Office

Handles new passport applications as well as renewals. Photo services are also available.  

Post Office

Located in the Student Union, the Post Office provides some Post Office services, including stamp sales; the processing of parcels, express, and certified mail; and postal money order sales. Psychological Clinic

A community-based mental health training clinic that provides both in-person and remote individual psychotherapy, and personality, diagnostic and psycho-educational evaluations. All services are provided by master’s and doctoral clinical psychology and counseling psychology students under licensed faculty supervision. Therapy services are provided on a sliding-scale fee basis, and testing services are provided on a reduced-rate, flat-fee basis. All applicants for services must undergo a brief telephone screen to determine suitability for the clinic. Eligible applicants are assigned to a waitlist and will be seen depending on the availability of therapist and/or evaluators. If the clinic cannot provide services, they will try to provide other campus or community referrals. The clinic does not provide medication management, walk-in, or emergency services. The clinic is open year-round.

Student Media

Covers student perspectives with the Daily Beacon, an independent student newspaper, and Ablaze, an independent feminist magazine. The office also houses Lumos Media Services, a student-operated commercial video and photo entity. These  student entities advised by the College of Communications & Information offer learning opportunities in editing, writing, graphic design, video production, computer applications, advertising sales, marketing, and photography for students who desire collaborative, co-curricular experiences. The Student Publications Board appoints senior editors for the editorially independent publications. Participation is open to all UT students in good standing. Applications are available in the Office of Student Media or online. 

Student Union Event Services

The Student Union hosts more than 8,500 meetings and events each year. Student organizations are the primary users of the spaces bringing a variety of meetings, talent shows, debates, and other functions to the space. The Event Services staff assists meeting and event planners in the preparation and execution of those events.

UCopy

VolCard Office

Produces and manages VolCard, UT’s mobile credential used to access a wide range of services, including VolCard accounts, meal plans, off-campus merchants, building access (in conjunction with Central Alarm and Housing), and more.

VolShop

The VolShop is the official campus store of UT. A UT department for over 134 years, the VolShop reinvests all proceeds into the UT community through student scholarships, campus improvements, and outreach programs. 

The VolShop is more than a clothing store—it’s a network of locations that support student success, academics, and school spirit. It includes: 

• VolBooks – Your resource for digital-first course materials, including textbooks delivered through the Total Access and Inclusive Access programs in Canvas. VolBooks also offers a curated selection of print books, lab supplies, office supplies, and academic essentials.
• VolTech – An Apple-authorized campus retailer offering educational pricing on Macs, iPads, accessories, and computers from top brands like Dell and Microsoft. VolTech also houses a certified repair center for Apple computers and iPhones.
• VolSnacks – A convenient spot to grab drinks, snacks, and on-the-go essentials between classes.
• VolGrad – Year-round access to graduation regalia and accessories.
