What is Volapalooza?
Volapalooza is an annual concert coordinated by the Center for Student Engagement with assistance from the Campus Events Board and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. It is the largest, student-assisted event on campus. Volapalooza begins with Party in the Park at Circle Park before transitioning to Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center for the headliner performance. The event has always been an effort to celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of commencement ceremonies for graduating seniors. In part, Volapalooza’s success has always been because of the connection and support we receive from local, regional, and national sponsors.
Who Goes to Volapalooza?
The audience typically consists of 18- to 24-year-old students and a wider general admission audience from the Knoxville community. Past performers have included Lizzo, Wiz Khalifa, Quinn XCII, Russell Dickerson, Portugal The Man, Moon Taxi, Niykee Heaton, Andy Grammer, Lupe Fiasco, Fitz and the Tantrums, Ziggy Marley, Big Gigantic, Three 6 Mafia, Girl Talk, X Ambassadors, Flogging Molly, Passion Pit, CAKE, and many more!
