The Division of Student Life is charged with improving the student life at the University of Tennessee. Its various departments encompass many different aspects of university life but all work toward one goal – providing students with an engaging and enlightening atmosphere of living and learning. The division is committed to an uncompromising respect for diversity, strong partnerships with university programs and support of the university’s academic mission.
Proposed Change to the Student Code of Conduct
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville is proposing to change the Student Code of Conduct. At the University of Tennessee’s Board of Trustees meeting on October 13, 2016, a Rulemaking Hearing regarding the proposed Student Code of Conduct was held. This hearing was open to all members of the University community as well as the general public. Per the rulemaking process, the University is currently reviewing the written and oral comments that were submitted concerning the proposed Student Code of Conduct.
The proposed changes can be found in the attached document. The document reflects the edits that have been made to the Proposed Code of Conduct since the initial Board of Trustees passage in October 2015.
Courage to Climb
The Division of Student Life would like to congratulate Corinne Tandy on being selected as the winner of the 2016 Courage to Climb Award. Corinne is a PhD student in Comparative and Experimental Medicine with a concentration in Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases from Knoxville, TN.

Big Orange Meal Share
Big Orange Meal Share allows donors to donate funds or students to donate unused guest meals to other students in need. Students who are in need of meals will then have the ability to apply for supplemental meal(s) to assist them throughout the semester.
