Student Organization Operations

The Center for Student Engagement is here to help your student organization thrive. Explore details on the annual registration process, steps for reactivating inactive organizations, and the new incentive program designed to reward engagement and excellence.

Annual Student Organization Registration

Annually, student organizations are required to register with the Center for Student Engagement to maintain their active status on campus. Learn how to register your organization.

Student Organization Reactivation

Student organizations inactive for over a year are considered inactive until they go through the annual registration process. Any student organization inactive for more than five years will be deemed completely dissolved. Once dissolved, any remaining funds in their Student Organization Business Office accounts will be donated to the designee written in their constitution. Learn how to reactivate your organization.

The Registered Student Organization (RSO) Torch Cup Competition

The Center for Student Engagement is excited to announce an exciting opportunity to gain points and compete against other student organizations. All Registered Student Organizations are eligible to earn points through opportunities in the Center for Student Engagement, including attending Organization Support events, participating in Rocky Top President’s Institute (RTPI), and more. Points can also be obtained from involvement on campus including collaborating with another student organization on an event for participating in Homecoming.

A list of qualifying opportunities with point values will be updated soon for the 2026-2027 competition.
