College of Communication and Information LLC

The mission of the Nexus LLC is to cultivate a dynamic and supportive living-learning environment that fosters academic excellence, professional development, and personal growth among first-year communication and information students through collaborative learning, experiential opportunities, and community engagement.

Nexus provides you the opportunity to live on a shared floor, take common courses, and participate in exclusive activities and events designed to foster leadership and engagement with other first-year students. Participation in this LLC can significantly enhance students’ preparation for career success by providing them with a range of skills and experiences highly valued professionally.

Involvement would enhance their oral and written communication skills; leadership style and approach to collaboration; networking and professional connections; critical thinking skills; community engagement and social responsibility; personal growth; and professional development. Students will be adequately prepared to compete and succeed within the global workforce by participating in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Nexus LLC will be located in Magnolia Hall for 2025-2026. All LLC locations are subject to change.

Community Requirements

The Nexus LLC would be open to all first-year students that are majoring and/or minoring in a College of Communication and Information program. A complete LLC application is required of all interested students. .

Fall:

FYS 101 – All CCI section – 1hr
