Mail and Package Information

Pick Up Your Mail & Packages

Each residence hall has a post office in the lobby of the building for students to receive their mail. Students are given their post office box combinations at check-in. Each resident’s post office box number corresponds to their room number. Each mailroom will have set hours during move-in and during the academic year. Please check your mail room hours upon arrival

After move-in, packages are delivered to a package locker location on campus or to your residence hall mail room. When packages are placed in a locker, students receive an email with pick-up instructions. For information on package pickup, visit upm.utk.edu/lockers/.

Pre-shipping overview: Shipping items before move-in is permitted. Please follow the guide below to format your specific mailing address correctly. We ask that you please attempt to have items arrive no more than one week before your move-in appointment.

Note: Please use caution when selecting same-day deliveries or other “door dash” style drop-offs. Residence halls will be able to receive those items starting on August 9. Deliveries should be placed in the designated delivery station inside the lobby of each residence hall. The delivery station rack is clearly marked, and those items are not logged into the package system by hall staff. Items left by delivery drivers before that date, outside of the building, or not at the designated delivery station are not the responsibility of university staff.
