About
Mission
Our mission is to guide students through off-campus living by providing resources and housing search tools to promote informed decision-making and to develop transferable life skills.
Core Functions
Our office helps students confidently navigate the move to off-campus living. We provide tools, programs, and partnerships that make finding housing easier, help develop transitional life skills, and connect students to the Knoxville community.
Housing Search Support
We help students find off-campus housing that fits their needs. Our housing search website, expos, neighborhood tours, and mobile office hours make the process simple and accessible.
Educational Programs
We provide workshops and resources to prepare students for independent living. Programs and events like Leasing 101 and roommate mixers, along with online materials and social media tips, cover everything from understanding leases to managing roommate relationships.
Community Engagement
We build partnerships across campus and the community to support off-campus students. Through collaborative events and outreach with local properties and organizations, we help students feel connected and supported wherever they live.
Collaboration and Partnerships
We work with local government, neighborhood associations, and community partners to represent student needs and improve the off-campus living experience. These relationships ensure students have access to resources and that their voices are part of community discussions.
