We provide opportunities for students to learn, lead, and serve. Everywhere you go on Rocky Top, you will see fellow Volunteers serving the community, getting involved on campus, and gaining the critical experience required to succeed beyond graduation.
Tennessee Saturday Night
August 16, 2025, 7-10 p.m.
It’s more than just the first Saturday night of the school year – it’s Tennessee Saturday Night. Join us on August 16 at the Student Union for lots of food, fun, and prizes.
Campus Life on Rocky Top
Rocky Top may be home sweet home to 35,000 students, but from the moment you step foot on campus, you have the opportunity to create your own unique experience. Find your new favorite place to hang your hammock, have study sessions with friends, and cheer alongside your fellow Vols at sporting events. However you choose to experience campus, Student Life is here to help you make these next few years some of the best.
Caring for All Vols
Being a healthy Vol means taking proactive steps to avoid the common cold and flu, eating a balanced diet, being physically active, and getting enough sleep. It also means building a social network, relieving stress, and seeking treatment for health concerns.
Leadership & Engagement
Leadership is infused into every facet of the Volunteer experience. It is a key component to the university’s mission and vision and is incorporated in academic programs through experiential learning opportunities.
Mattering & Belonging
Student Life offices are dedicated to creating and hosting events and spaces that are welcoming to all students. By engaging students, faculty, and staff in meaningful conversations, we can make sure all students feel like they matter and belong on Rocky Top.
