Community and local entities often are critical partners in supporting students in Knoxville. While the university supports students in accessing needed resources in the community if applicable, the university does not endorse the activities or viewpoints of these organizations.

Sexual Assault Center of East Tennessee

Staffs a 24/7 crisis hotline and provides services for survivors of sexual assault such as advocacy, therapy, education and outreach, and sexual assault nurse examinations.

Family Justice Center

Serves domestic violence and sexual assault victims. This comprehensive support center provides co-located services, including prosecutors, detectives, clergy, and social service professionals, for victims and their children.

Community Action Committee (CAC)

A public agency serving the citizens of Knoxville and Knox County, specifically senior citizens, low- to moderate-income families, the unemployed and underemployed, persons with disabilities, and other individuals with special need of services.
