The Jones Center for Leadership and Service is evolving into a campus-wide hub that connects, supports, and elevates leadership and service opportunities across both curricular and co-curricular experiences. The center is shifting toward a networked, partnership-based model designed to strengthen and amplify leadership and service development opportunities throughout the university. Advancing this new vision, the Jones Center for Leadership and Service distributed mini-grants during the 2025 academic year to several areas of campus, driving support for leadership programs and developments happening across UT.
Grants distributed include:
- At the College of Veterinary Medicine, funding to integrate coaching pedagogy into the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine curriculum; support for the completion of staff members’ International Coaching Federation Level 1 credentialing; developing a model to support the success of first-year veterinary medicine students; and coaching trainings for faculty and staff across the college.
- Financial support to enhance the curriculum of the Reeves Institute for Professional Leadership through the Winston College of Law.
- Funding for research and development of an AI-guided leadership coaching tool through the UT Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.
- Support for transforming the Haslam Leadership Scholars curriculum in the University Honors program to enhance the use of best practices and maximize student experiences informed by leadership theory.
