Student Support
The Division of Student Life is there for every student in moments big and small. From finding connections with others to offering care and support in difficult circumstances, we create pathways for every Vol to access what they need and thrive on campus.
Helping Vols Belong
Across the departments of the Division of Student Life, a variety of resources are available to help students find their community on campus and thrive in all areas of their lives while attending UT. From the Office for Campus Culture and Community creating welcoming spaces where Vols can connect and engage with others to Student Disability Services coordinating accommodations for students in academic courses, all Student Life departments work towards supporting the Volunteer experience for each and every student.

Support and Resources for Every Volunteer
The division prioritizes a holistic approach to student success, supporting students through a variety of programming designed to create positive experiences beyond the classroom. From enriching Vols’ connections to their home support network through the Center for Student Advocacy to empowering those on Rocky Top to cultivate personal and community well-being with the Center for Health Education and Wellness, there are countless ways the division ensures students have access to what they need to succeed.
Access the Right Care at the Right Time
What an individual student might need in a difficult situation is specific and unique. The Division of Student Life fosters holistic opportunities for students to access the care that is right for their situation in a timely and efficient manner. We provide crisis response through the Center for Care and Resilience if a student is experiencing distress; individual therapy and group therapies through the Student Counseling Center for a myriad of topics and skills; annual physicals, vaccinations, and treatment for illness or injury through the Student Health Center; food and hygiene items through the Center for Basic Needs, and a plethora of other supportive and health-promoting programs for students at any point in their Volunteer journey.
