Biography
Originally from the beautiful island of Kauai, Michaela left home to attend higher education at George Fox University for her undergraduate. Michaela went on to earn her Master’s degree in Social Work here at the University of Tennessee and worked as a school based therapist in Knoxville since graduating. While completing graduate school, she served as a student therapist at the University of Tennessee Psychological Clinic. Her clinical experience working with students in large school systems and university settings will offer direct benefits to the students we work with at SCCS and will support a restorative and developmental conduct process.
Michaela is known for her enthusiasm for personal growth and her commitment to making a positive contribution in the world. Michaela balances a fulfilling professional and personal life with a drive to serve others. In her free time, Michaela finds joy in weightlifting, going for walks, traveling, and trying new coffee spots. She cherishes moments spent with loved ones, nurturing the relationships that bring warmth and meaning to her life.
