Many, but not all, basketball games are T-Credit earning opportunities. All T-Credit earning opportunities are listed in the Rocky Top Rowdies section of the Tennessee Athletics app. New opportunities are added on a regular basis.
Yes. Continuing students can boost their future chances at football tickets by accruing T-Credits all year. At the conclusion of each academic year, your T-Credit total will be reduced by 50-66%. Students will receive an email in the spring communicating the exact reduction that year.
Every Monday at 7:30 a.m., student ticket claims will open for upcoming home games.
- If a game is on a weekday (Monday–Friday), claims will open the previous Monday.
- If a game is over the weekend (Saturday or Sunday), claims will open that Monday.
You will always have a minimum of 5 days to claim a ticket. Tickets remain available until inventory is gone or the game reaches halftime.
Plans change. If you can no longer attend, simply return your ticket through the Tennessee Athletics app. Go to your game ticket on the Tickets tab and select “More Ticket Actions”. Then, select the “Return” option and follow the prompts to successfully return your ticket. Make sure to select the “Submit” button on the review page to complete the return.
If you claim a ticket but do not use it, you will be penalized.
If you claim a basketball ticket, we expect you to attend or return your ticket so another student has the opportunity to use it. If you claim a ticket but do not use it:
- 1st Occurrence: Warning
- 2nd Occurrence: Lose 1 T-Credit
- After losing a T-Credit, the process resets and your next occurrence will result in a warning.
- Students who claimed a ticket and did not attend will receive an email notifying them of their warning or loss of T-Credit.
For graduating seniors, a second claim-and-no-scan occurrence will result in losing access to claim a ticket for the next eligible game.
Attendance cannot be verified unless your ticket is scanned. Make sure your ticket scans as you enter.
Men’s Basketball and Women’s Basketball are tracked separately. Exhibition games do not count toward this policy.
- Students should enter through Gate A
- Vol Hoops: Section 113 rows 1–20, 114, 128, 129, and upper sections 323–327
- Lady Vols Hoops: Section 129 risers, and 328–330
- Once lower-level student seating reaches capacity, additional upper-level student seating will be made available.
Rocky Top Rowdies is the official student rewards section of the Tennessee Athletics App. T-Credits are the points earned for attending specific sporting or campus events.
Students needing accessible seating for games should reserve tickets as normal during the reservation period. Students who require accessible seating should contact the Tennessee Athletics Ticket Office at [email protected].
Ineligibility Help
To be eligible to log into the ticketing system, you must be enrolled in classes and assessed the full student programs and services fee. If you meet these criteria and still receive a message that you’re ineligible, it could be due to a hold on your account. If you are not aware of a hold on your account and we have not blocked students due to a special sales period, please fill out a help form and we can look at your account.
