Football FAQs

Rocky Top Rowdies is the official student rewards section of the Tennessee Athletics App. T-Credits are the points earned for attending specific sporting or campus events. Learn more about T-Credits.

T-credits are only issued for home games, on-campus events, and designated engagement opportunities and initiatives. This could include baseball, basketball (men’s and women’s), soccer, softball, swimming & diving, tennis (men’s and women’s), track & field, and volleyball. All T-Credit earning opportunities are listed in the Rocky Top Rowdies section of the Tennessee Athletics app. New opportunities are added on a regular basis, and no opportunities are offered during breaks.

Our ticketing system does not take class standing into consideration when awarding tickets. While continuing students generally do have more T-Credits than first-year students, simply being a senior does not factor into the assignment process.

When a Ticket Request window is open, being the first or last to request your ticket DOES NOT AFFECT your chance to be assigned tickets. Tickets are assigned based on your T-Credits, not based on the time of request. In other words, you can be the first person to request or the last, but it does not affect the chances of you getting a ticket.

Learn more about T-Credits

There is not a fixed or predictable number of T-Credits needed for any given game. Each game looks different based on number of student requests, and how many groups are formed and their average T-Credits.

Your best strategy is to attend as many T-Credit events as you can, and request tickets consistently. Students who only request tickets for big rival games, and do not attend other sporting events, are less likely to have the T-Credits to be assigned compared to those who have attended other sporting events and requested tickets for several games during the season.

Once all spring earning opportunities have passed, T-credits for all continuing students will be reduced by 50-66%. Students will receive an email in the spring communicating the exact reduction that year.

If you believe you should have received T-Credits for an event, you may appeal your point totals. See more about the process under T-Credit Appeals on our T-Credits page.

Requesting Tickets

It depends on your current T-Credits and the credits of the other members in your group. Your group’s T-Credits are determined by the average T-Credits of your group. If your group average is higher than your individual T-credits this is an advantage; if it is lower, this might be a disadvantage.

Learn more about groups on the About Football page.

If your group was not assigned tickets during Round 1, everyone in the group will be sent to Round 2. Groups will need to be re-created (if desired) for Round 2. Please follow the same process of designating a group leader and then sharing your group code. Keep in mind that groups are seen as the average of everyone’s T-Credits in that group during the assignment process.

Once tickets have been requested, if you are assigned a ticket you can simply choose not to purchase it. If you have already purchased your ticket, no refunds will be given. NOTE: Students are NOT allowed to transfer or sell their tickets per the Student Code of Conduct. Students caught buying or selling tickets from other students may be subject to a hold on requesting future tickets, and will be sent to Student Conduct for review.

Students needing accessible seating for games should request tickets as normal during the request period. If assigned a ticket, students can fill out a access form arrange for receiving accessible seating for the game.

The Tennessee Athletics App

Currently enrolled students can log in to the Tennessee Athletics App with their [email protected] email at any time to access their Rocky Top Rowdies account and manage their account information, track their attendance history, and view their T-Credits. Starting fall of 2024 eligible students will also be able to request, purchase and download football and basketball tickets.

Incoming eligible students will receive an email from Athletics with instructions to log in to the app and the Rocky Top Rowdies section in the app with their [email protected] email at the beginning of their first semester, and will have access to all the app features at that time. Incoming students will not have access to the app until that time.

Students wanting to see their attendance and T-Credit history can log in to the Tennessee Athletics App, navigate to the Rocky Top Rowdies Section, and click on the points shown at the top left of their screen, or click ‘more’ and then ‘activity’.

Logging in help- Log in to the Tennessee Athletics App using your [email protected] and password.

Ineligibility help- To be eligible to log into the ticketing system, you must be enrolled in classes and assessed the full student programs and services fee. If you meet these criteria and still receive a message that you’re ineligible, it could be due to a hold on your account. If you are not aware of a hold on your account and we have not blocked students due to a special sales period, please fill out a help form and we can look at your account.

Other issues- If you are having other issues with the app, reach out to us by filling out a help form with the subject ‘Rowdies Help’.
