Attending Men’s and Women’s Basketball at UT’s Thompson-Boling Arena are electric experiences. The Division of Student Life and UT Athletics are excited to offer students free tickets to home basketball games on a first come first serve basis. 

Overview

1. Tickets are free for students and must be reserved through the Student Ticket Portal.
2. Tickets for each game are made available one week prior to the game at 9 a.m., and will be available until tickets sell out, or the game has reached halftime. 
3. Students will need to download their electronic tickets to their phones via Apple Wallet or Google Pay, or print their tickets. NOTE: Screenshots will not work with the current scanners. 
4. Seating for basketball games is general admission. 
5. Students wanting to sit together should arrive together, as seats cannot be held for latecomers. 
6. Arriving at the arena early is the best way to ensure you do not miss any of the game. Learn more Gameday Information.

Note: Basketball tickets are not transferable. Should students be unable to attend a game, they will need to cancel their ticket in the Student Ticket Portal.

Attendance Policy

In order to best accommodate as many students as possible, students who are unable to attend games are encouraged to cancel their tickets using the Student Ticket Portal. 

Students who reserve basketball tickets and do not attend three games during a season may be placed on a hold from reserving tickets in the future.
