Attending Men’s and Women’s Basketball at UT’s Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center are electric experiences. The Division of Student Life and UT Athletics are excited to offer students free tickets to both Men’s and Women’s home basketball games on a first come first serve basis.
Overview
- Tickets to Men’s and Women’s basketball games that are played at home are free for students and must be reserved through the Tennessee Athletics App.
- Tickets for each game are made available one week prior to the game. Tickets can be reserved starting at 9 a.m. will be available until tickets sell out, or the game has reached halftime. NOTE: Big rivalry games sell out quickly. Be sure to reserve tickets early.
- Students will need to download their electronic tickets to their phones by using Apple Wallet or Google Pay. NOTE: Screenshots will not be accepted.
- Seating for basketball games is general admission.
- It is not necessary to create groups for Basketball games like you would for Football. Seating is first-come-first-served and tickets are general admission so students wanting to sit together simply need to arrive together. NOTE: Saving seats for late comers is NOT allowed.
- Arriving at the arena early is the best way to ensure you do not miss any of the game, and sometimes students can earn cool swag or free food for early arrival. Learn more on the Gameday Information.
Note: Basketball tickets are not transferable. Should students be unable to attend a game, they will need to cancel their ticket.
Attendance Policy
In order to best accommodate as many students as possible, students who are unable to attend games are encouraged to cancel their tickets using Tennessee Athletics App.
Students who reserve basketball tickets and do not attend three games during a season may be placed on a hold from reserving tickets in the future.
