It is football time in Tennessee, and I hope you’re excited for the season opener this Thursday against Ball State. I can’t wait to cheer on the Vols alongside you! Here are a few things you need to know to be ready for the game.
Parking for the game
Kickoff is at 7 p.m., and all vehicles should be removed from staff and commuter parking lots by 1 p.m. All residential students with a current Non-commuter parking permit should park in N areas.
There will be parking in the SC40 area at the Kingston Pike building with shuttles running to campus every 20 minutes for anyone who needs to be on campus after 1 p.m.
All classes that meet at or after 12:55 p.m. on September 1 will be remote instruction. Be sure to check with your instructor for specific information for your class.
T Buses will run until 1 p.m. and will then convert to Football Service. There will be no Late Nite bus, but the T-Link will operate after the game day traffic has cleared.
Arrive Early to the Game
Seats in the student section are assigned, and we encourage you to arrive early to avoid lines at the student entry gates. Please have your VolCard and ticket ready to be scanned. Remember to download your ticket prior to heading to the stadium. You can add your ticket to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay.
The student gates for access are Gates 4, 4A, and 5.
Display Good Sportsmanship
Stay respectful during the game. Conduct yourself in a manner that represents UT, the Southeastern Conference, and the NCAA with honor, dignity, and respect.
Review the SEC and UT Fan Code of Conduct.
Be Responsible
We want to be sure you are safe and responsible while celebrating the Vols before the big game. If you are 21 and over and choose to drink alcohol at the game, make sure you stay hydrated, identify a designated driver, and if you see someone in distress, text VOLS to 69050. Be sure to review the alcohol, clear bag, and additional policies for Neyland Stadium prior to arriving at Neyland stadium.
