Wellness Wednesdays

At UT, you have the opportunity to maintain or improve your wellness from the moment you arrive on campus to the day that you graduate.

Each Wednesday, experts from the Center for Health Education and Wellness (CHEW), RecSports, the Student Counseling Center, the Center for Financial Wellness, the Office of the Dean of Students, and the Campus Ministers Council offer unique and engaging opportunities for you to find the balance that you need to be your best at UT.

Wellness is accessible, even during a global pandemic.

Finding a personal sense of wellness can be challenging, especially during COVID-19. We know that this past year has been hard for our Volunteer community, and we encourage you to explore the options available to help you find what you need to be successful, even during a pandemic.

Wellness is comprised of multiple dimensions.

Did you know that there are eight dimensions of wellness? According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) the eight dimensions of wellness are emotional, spiritual, intellectual, physical, environmental, financial, occupational, and social. Each dimension is interconnected and attention must be given to all the dimensions, as neglect of anyone over time will adversely affect the others, and ultimately one’s health, well-being, and quality of life.
