Wellness Wednesdays

At UT, we take a multifaceted approach to health and wellness.

Each Wednesday, experts from the Center for Health Education and Wellness (CHEW), RecSports, the Student Counseling Center, the Center for Financial Wellness, the Office of the Dean of Students, and the Campus MultiFaith Council offer unique and engaging opportunities for you to find the balance that you need to be your best at UT.

Each event is crafted to the needs of current students, whether that means disconnecting for relaxation and reflection or learning how to manage stressful situations such as finals or graduation. Previous events have included Yoga in Circle park, Adjusting to College, and Restoration Spaces.

Wellness is comprised of multiple dimensions

According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) there are eight dimensions of wellness: emotional, spiritual, intellectual, physical, environmental, financial, occupational, and social. Each dimension is interconnected and attention must be given to all the dimensions, as neglect of anyone over time will adversely affect each other, and ultimately one’s health, well-being, and quality of life. Learn more about each of the eight dimensions at wellness.utk.edu.

Events are offered every Wednesday
