What is SPSF?

We’re a few weeks into the semester and you may have had the chance to check out some events, either virtually or in-person. Are there any other programs or events that you would like to see on campus? Check out the Student Programs and Services Fee idea suggestion form! The Student Programs and Services Fee (SPSF) funds services, activities, programs, and facilities that promote the intellectual, physical, emotional, social, cultural, or leadership development of students.

This fee, paid by all full-time students, allows for the university to host programs that students want to see on campus. These events help develop how students understand others and the world through exposure to different experiences, such as art exhibits, speakers, movies, and cultural experiences. You may have had the chance to attend an SPSF funded event already this year, and there are so many more left to come.

How Programs are Determined and How to Share Program Ideas

We’re always looking for what events and programs you want to see on campus. You’re invited and encouraged to suggest programs for students funded by the Student Programs and Services Fee! Program submissions are determined by the Vice Chancellor for Student Life and the Programming Student Advisory Board (PSAB) after ideas are submitted.

If funded, a Student Life department will work with you and/or your student organization to plan and execute the event. The deadline to share program ideas is September 7 so be sure to submit your ideas soon!
