With the Vol basketball season in full swing, we could all use a reminder on how to request tickets from Big Orange Tix. Unlike football tickets, admission to every basketball game in Thompson-Boling is free to all students at UT.
How does it work?
- First, go to the ticket portal site.
- Log in with your NetID and password on UT’s Central Authentication Service page, and then complete your two-factor authentication (2FA) login.
- Find the game you want to attend and request the ticket.
- And you’re all set!
Student seating for basketball is not assigned, so be sure to arrive early to claim your spot! Don’t forget to download your ticket to your phone or print it out before coming to the game.
Can’t use your ticket?
If you reserved a ticket and can’t attend the game, make sure to cancel the ticket. Log in to the portal, click the cancellation tab on the left-hand side, find the game, and cancel.
If you reserved a ticket and can’t attend the game, make sure to cancel it. If you fail to do so 3 times, it may result in the revocation of basketball attendance privileges for the remainder of the season.
Need to know for games
Basketball games are in Thompson Boling Arena. Seats are general admissions so come early with your friends to get the best seats.
Student tickets are not transferable and there are no loyalty points or guest tickets for basketball games.
Bags that are allowed into games are clear plastic bags no larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches, a one-gallon clear resealable plastic storage bag, or a small clutch purse no bigger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches.
So, come on out to a game and support your favorite basketball team. For more info on basketball games and Big Orange Tix, follow @Vol_Hoops and @LadyVol_Hoops on Instagram and Twitter.
