Theoretical Style
I primarily work from a Relational-Cultural lens. I believe that we all need connection and a feeling of belonging to grow and thrive. When I start building a relationship with a client, I want to foster that connection together to create a safe and comfortable space to heal. I am also a firm believer in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, we cannot begin to thrive until our basic needs are met.
Professional Interests
I am extremely passionate about equitable mental health care for all folks. I love that the student counseling center provides a necessary service for our students. I am passionate about outreach and ensuring folks know what resources are out there and how to get connected with them.
Personal Interests
I love puzzles and games of all sorts: regular puzzles, puzzle games, board games, you name it! Board game nights with friends, being in the mountains and hiking, especially with my dogs, and working on anything crafty or craft-related are some of my favorite things.
