Our Services

The SCC provides a variety of counseling services for students. Presenting problems range from mild situational stressors to acute mental health conditions.

Services available to students include crisis intervention, individual, and group therapy. We provide brief or short-term therapy. For students that need long term therapy, providers able to support students in finding services outside of the SCC, and make referrals to care coordinators in some situations.

The SCC is committed to providing high-quality care and services to all UT students. We actively pursue this by providing culturally responsive counseling services, specialized training for our staff, participation in community events that promote diversity and inclusion, and exemplifying a welcoming, compassionate presence within the Volunteer community.

Group Therapy

Groups offer a unique setting in which peer interactions facilitate self-improvement and the alleviation of suffering. Participants often feel less alone in their struggles, with the group providing a sense of community.
