Dear Prospective SCC Trainee,
On behalf of the University of Tennessee Student Counseling Center staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our training web page and thank you for considering our site as you chart your course for the 2025-2026 training year.
In reviewing these pages, you will find information about UT and surrounding area, the Student Counseling Center, the training programs, and associated application and selection processes. Our doctoral internship, postdoctoral residency, and practicum placements offer many opportunities for professional growth and development. Our multidisciplinary training staff have a high level of commitment and energy for providing trainees with the best possible clinical and training experiences and supervision.
If one of our training programs looks like it fits with your training goals and interests, we encourage you to apply! For those applying for the doctoral internship, please complete the application materials online and submit them by Monday, November 10, 2025. Applications for our postdoctoral resident positions are currently open. Information about practicum positions will be announced later in the fall semester.
