Center Activities

I am responsible for overseeing the clinical services of the Student Counseling Center.  I am passionate about providing quality mental health services to our community and am working to develop processes that help us ensure students have access to high quality mental health services on campus and within our community.

Theoretical Style

I believe that growth fostering relationships are central to wellness and practice primarily from relational cultural and internal family systems framework to help people understand the ways their relationships with others and themselves impact their functioning.  I pull from systems, feminist and critical frameworks to acknowledge systemic impact and empower my clients.  Additionally, I believe in the importance of reparative antiracist practices within counseling.

Professional Interests

As a clinician, I enjoy the challenge of working with clients presenting with a wide variety of concerns and I am particularly passionate about supporting students who hold traditionally marginalized identities.  I have additional clinical training and expertise in LGBTQ+ identity exploration, adoptee related issues, substance use, grief, and trauma.

Supervision Model

Supervision Model: I am passionate about the development of strong clinicians and believe supervision is a critical component of clinical development.  I take an integrated approach to supervision utilizing components of the developmental model, discrimination model, and relational cultural theory.  I believe in meeting supervisees where they are and developing a relationship through which they feel empowered to bring their whole selves to supervision.

Personal Interests

When I am not at work I am a homebody who loves a good project or a quiet night at home watching HGTV.  I enjoy home improvement, woodworking, and pretty much any other project that requires a power tool.
