The Healthy Living program at RecSports offers practical life skills that help students, manage sleep and stress, fuel your body, move in ways that feel good, and get through college with more energy. No special equipment or experience is needed.

What Is Healthy Living? 

Healthy Living is not a workout program. It’s a collection of short sessions designed to help students build routines to navigate college. 

What We Cover?

Healthy Living sessions focus on a wide range of topics, including the 8 Dimensions of Wellness, to help students throughout their time. 

Sleep & Recovery 

Short sessions focus on:

  • Sleep routines that actually work in college
  • Evening habits that improve energy
  • Napping myths versus reality

Stress & Mental Well-Being

Low-pressure strategies for:

  • Managing overwhelm
  • Incorporating breathwork and reset techniques 
  • Preventing burnout  

Food & Nutrition Literacy

Accessible, budget-aware skills like:

  • Navigating dining halls
  • Preparing simple meals and snacks
  • Exploring new foods

Accessible Movement & Exercise

Is this just a fitness or workout programs? 

No. Healthy Living is not a workout program. 

While some programs include movement, the focus is on practical life skills that support your day‑to‑day well‑being, like sleep, stress management, food and nutrition basics, and movement that feels accessible and realistic. 

You don’t need to be “into fitness” to participate. 

Do I have to come every week or commit longterm? 

No long‑term commitment is required. 

Most Healthy Living programs are offered as onetime sessions, and attending once is totally fine. Some students choose to come back to similar programs — both options count. 

Come when it fits your schedule. 

Do I need experience or special equipment? 

No.
