Councils & Organizations

The Office of Sorority and Fraternity life works with more than 48 active registered student organizations (RSOs) at the university, advises four councils, and assists organizations in developmental areas. At the University of Tennessee, nearly 9,000 students and approximately 29% of the undergraduate population are members of our fraternal organizations.

Each respective council is supported by student leaders, and they host programs and opportunities for the member organizations to thrive and reach their full potential on campus. Unrecognized and suspended organizations are not supported or encouraged for membership.
