The Student Health Center sees patients by appointment only. Walk-ins are not permitted.

Patient Eligibility

To confirm whether you are eligible for SHC services, review the current eligibility details.

Appointment Scheduling

To schedule an appointment, call 865-974-5080 by 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments cannot be scheduled through our Nurse Advice Line after-hours. Due to the volume of calls, you may need to leave a message with your return call information. Make sure you are available to accept return calls and, if not, that your voicemail is accessible and receiving new messages. Calls for appointments are returned on the day of your call. If you are experiencing a health-related emergency, dial 911.

Review the phone tree options for each clinic and service to more quickly facilitate your appointment scheduling.

Patients are seen by appointment only. Walk-ins are not permitted. Patients without a scheduled appointment are advised to contact the Triage Nurse Line to schedule an appointment. Based on the acuteness or severity of a student’s condition, the Student Health Center may refer walk-in students or those calling to make appointments to local urgent cares, walk-in clinics, or emergency departments.

If you are uncertain where you should be seen, contact our Nurse Advice Line, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for additional guidance.

If you feel you are experiencing a health-related emergency, call 911.

Transportation to off-campus healthcare facilities, either by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) or a privately owned vehicle, is not a Student Health Center provided/covered service.

Serving Students Every Day

On average, the Student Health Center sees more than 200 student patients each day during the fall and spring semesters.
